Merry Christmas from c'est Moi...

Hello everyone!
I guess most of y'all are super busy with preparations and such for this beautiful time of the year!
So I am keeping it short...

At the last minute, I got our "2013 and new outlook letter" for 2014 done!
Of course I was very grateful for PicMonkey because I just had no more time to have them professionally done.
In the end I am very glad I did it the way I did, it did not get the bill up very high and I could pic them up at Costco the next day! Yay!
Typed out a letter for dear sweet friends near and far, Brothers and Sisters, Uncles and Aunts a niece out in Texas, enclosed our Families smiles and Voila... I actually think I still kinda made it on time.

At least it will be in time for before 2014!
I look forward to keep you all up to date about us moving out of State to Texas...

For now:

The angel replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby born to you will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God".
Luke 1:35

Many Blessings to you and yours!

from my family to yours...

I named her "I Love You So..."

Hello Everyone!

How has your week been?
I am so happy that it is Friday today.
Tomorrow I am going out with my girls...
It was a very emotional week this week.
Our car is still broken...
My washer broke down...
We had been searching for some checks...
And...
We have this piece of land that we own... (We had hoped to build a dream house there someday).
But the permits are just a killer - So we gave up the dream... Which is okay - really.
So.... Finally after it being on the MLS for almost a year, it sold yesterday and went into escrow today!
It looked for so long so hopeless and gloomy.
It was a true patience trial and went along with a lot of Praying!

Then yesterday Mr. Honey found the part that was broken and fixed the washer... Yay!
The Mechanic still wants to work on the car - even though he is not getting paid for it... Grateful we are...
We found the funds that we just could not find...
(They had been transferred to a very old account - while we were looking in the mailbox every day)
(So now I can pay some bills again... Yahoo!)

Now with the land sold it will make our plans of moving to Texas a reality that is now more within reach!
More on that later...

Just a couple of days ago we did this photo-shoot...
The weather was awesome and we rushed to get ready.

I finally finished this skirt that I had for quit some time, I liked it, but something was missing.

So when I took it back of the rack I looked at it and thought for some time...

That is when I decided to add several layers of Satin Ruffles at the hem...
Then added some Vertical Ruffles along the back in a very sheer Lace cotton and in Satin.

I changed the drawstring in an Ivory Satin Drawstring at back.

Then I made a Corset...
I love the look of the two together...
However I am not completely happy with it yet...
Making Corsets is a ball game I am not so familiar with - Yet.

However, I am very pleased with how it looks together.

I Love You So // White Wedding Gown // Skirt // Ivory White // Ruffles Lace Gathered // USA Made // Country / Cowgirl Western

This skirt is about 45" long!

I used several white on white and ivory tones to soften
the overall look.

I thought that some soft pink would add a Romantic
feel to the whole look as well.

I love how my own handmade necklace just fits so perfect
And adds a Shabby Country touch and makes it from looking way too serious...

Do you like it?

My model said that the skirts make a ruffly, swooshy sound when you walk.
It is truly artwork that came from the heart...
That is why I thought to name her...
"I Love You So..."
Sing it!
Favorite it!

I wonder who the happy Bride to Be will be that picks this for her big day this coming spring...

Blessings to you!

So I went shopping in my own fabric stash - and made a top on the "wild" side

Hi Everyone!

Yes, it is Monday (still) and I am here... (does not happen often) And I have not disappeared...
However...
I have been watching a lot of movies lately with the oldest kiddo's.
I am totally in love with the movies "Pirates of the Caribbean"
I Love Love Love the main character Jack Sparrow - while I am not a big Johnny Depp fan - sorry guys!
I do love him now though! LOL

Okay...
So Lately I have been a little bit down - that is why I did not stop in.
Guess, nobody really wants to read about how moody and depressed I felt so, I decided to stay away and shop in my own fabric stash.
When money is tight and you can't splurge in the "stores" (great anti depressant therapy - shopping I mean)
It is handy that I can sew and have a lot, I mean really a lot of fabric stashed away.

So...
Back to Pirates of the Caribbean...
After seeing all 4 movies! over and over...
I totally fell in love with the Princess blouses and Peasant tops Penelope Cruz and Keira Knightley wore.
And since I still did not have a nice top to match my Black Velvet Skirt (that I made for myself last winter).
I decided that I wanted to get out of the box and made myself a wild top...
I made a Princess top in a gorgeous Animal print!
Leopard!
(I will make a couple in totally pirate style - oh yes)
But I wanted a wild print first.
Yes, to match that skirt.

It felt great!
No Awesome!
To add some new colors to my closet...
And so I was on a role and made myself another top...

But I wore this one yesterday...
And I can only wear one top at the time
so I will be sharing the other one here soon.

And you know what?
This top fits me a lot better than when I go out shopping.
Can you tell I am happy?

I have been finishing some unfinished projects as well.
But it is just way too cold out to be doing any photo shoots...
And I really am not a winter gal...

Hope your weekend was lovely and that you had a good Monday.

Blessings to you

Sandy

P.s. This top is also available in my Etsy as a custom order...
so if you need it, you can get it there.
Just check out my side bar...
Thank you!
